SoBran entered the biomedical research field in 1996 and quickly earned a reputation as a dedicated research partner. SoBran’s Biomedical Services Group is more than simply a staffing contractor. We currently manage more than two dozen laboratory animal facilities, including Animal Biosafety Levels (ABSL) 1 through 3, barrier, and conventional facilities, at many of the National Institutes of Health, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research/Naval Medical Research Center, academic institutions, and a growing portfolio of commercial clients.

Our Biomedical Services Group employs more than 400 board certified veterinarians, pathologists, research scientists, trainers, quality assurance specialists, research support specialists, veterinary technicians, husbandry technicians, managers, administrators, logisticians, and facility operation specialists.

SoBran is ISO 9001:2008-certified and developed an unmatched comprehensive corporate QA program: SoBran’s Process Architecture for Vivarium Operation (SPAVOSM). SPAVO provides program management, operations and quality control processes that can accommodate Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies, integrated data management, animal inventory control, and comprehensive regulatory support.
