SoBran History
SoBran was founded in August, 1987 in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Amos L. Otis is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
Certified under the Small Business Administration 8(a) program as a small disadvantaged business in April, 1990, SoBran successfully graduated from the 8(a) program in 1999.
SoBran has flourished since graduating the 8(a) program. Employees rose from 105 in 2000 to over 570 in 2006. During the same period, annual sales grew from $8.6 million to over $37 million annually, with similar growth anticipated for 2007.
SoBran first achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for our Fairfax office in 2005 and was recertified in 2006, with plans to certify all our locations.
In 2006, Black Enterprise Magazine named SoBran among the top 100 companies in the category in the Industrial Service Category, and the Dayton, Ohio Business Journal named us to their list of the Top 100 Federal Government Contractors. |
