Services provided under 10 task orders include component transportation; warehouse operations management, including a cross-service and foreign military sales program warehouse and Air Force engine inductions warehouse; processing of depot-level repairable inductions; tool-box build up and modifications; production control services and kitting warehouse; operation and management of MEGA Centers storerooms (multiple mini-warehouses); and environmental support, including an Environmental Logistics Desk.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Gaithersburg Distribution Center:
SoBran operates this center, efficiently and cost-effectively receiving, storing and distributing consumable products used in furthering the NIH medical/research mission. We manage receipt, proper storage and distribution for material including chemicals, medical supplies, animal food and bedding, personal protection equipment, cleaning supplies, and office products. We also provide administrative support for customer and vendor relations, telephone inquiries, and file management. Since taking on this project, SoBran personnel have reduced the order fulfillment error rate by 92%, dramatically increasing the efficiency of the warehouse.
Secure Government Mail Screening Facility:
For over five years, SoBran has provided logistics support to the nation's premier mail screening facility. The SoBran team has developed start-up and re-supply plans, and provide procurements services, warehouse support and management, local distribution services, comprehensive inventory management and cost management services, and general administrative support. SoBran is directly responsible for developing supply requirement review procedures for varied supplies, determining the most cost effective product lines to meet client standards. We develop vendor review protocols to identify the most cost effective vendors and procurement methods. We employ a streamlined approach to facilities management and preventative maintenance, using self-help programs and internal support to reduce the program's dependence on outside contractors. |
