Farewell to Mike Livingston

Dr. James "Mike" Livingston, PhD, stepped down as SoBran's Vice President and COO, effective May 31, 2006. For 11 years, Mike's vision, drive and leadership were valuable assets in SoBran's management's drive to become a successful large company. When asked what he counted as the highlights of his career, Mike recalled his aggressive business development style in forming the environmental services division of SoBran, and landing contracts at Cincinnati, Grosse Ile and Duluth, along with the original environmental contract at Hill AFB. He recounted how he was responsible for developing SoBran's engineering and logistics division, and capturing contracts at Hill AFB and Aberdeen, MD. He was indirectly responsible for the development of SoBran's IT division at Oak Ridge Tenn. Dr. Livingston's stellar success was working to expand SoBran's biomedical services division through winning the NIAID contract at the National Institutes of Health. Quite a career indeed! Mike is easing into retirement by continuing to assist SoBran on a consulting basis. We will miss him and wish him well as he's off to perfect that perfect golf swing, fish with his granddaughter and enjoy the good life.
