SoBran Responds to Continued Mail Terrorism with Announcement of SafeMail DC Offsite Screening Facility at National Postal Forum 2014

March 12, 2014 – (Fairfax, VA) SoBran, Inc., the international leader in mail security, today announced that it will unveil its newest offsite mail screening facility at this year’s National Postal Forum, March 16-19 in Washington, DC. Far from declining, the number of suspicious pieces of mail, including those containing improvised explosive devices, is holding steady, according to the U.S. Post Office. The state-of-the-art screening facility was built in response to that threat and the request of customers for cost-effective expert mail screening.

The SafeMail® DC mail screening facility is a first in the metropolitan area. Finally, embassies, financial services companies, government contractors, and non-profits in the DC region can have affordable protection from mail terrorism threats.

Benefits of SafeMail DC

  • Mail screened offsite, protecting all employees from business disruption
  • Cost-effective mail screening not requiring in-house expertise, technology or staff
  • State-of-the-art screening methods and technology that would be difficult to implement for a single organization
  • Rapid turnaround time, making the process invisible to virtually all employees
  • No large capital investment required; monthly payment programs available

“SafeMail DC is a state-of-the-art facility designed from over a decade of experience screening mail for exacting organizations,” said Rich Swank, Director of Engineering and Logistics.  “With proficiency  managing SafeMail off-site screening facilities nationwide, SafeMail DC builds upon the most advanced technologies, and offers the most expedient service available today.”

SoBran has been keeping clients safe from mail borne attacks since 2001, when the U.S. Army asked them to develop and operate their mail screening program.  The company helped the General Services Administration define national mail security standards, while securing mail for clients such as the Department of Homeland Security and Wall Street institutions.

The SoBran team will be sharing information about SafeMail and SafeMail DC at NPF March 16-19 at Gaylord National Harbor in the Washington D.C. area.  Visit SoBran SafeMail at booth #1529.
