Fleet Readiness Center Southeast maintenance contracts worth up to $57.6M

(The Business Journals) Tyonek Services Corp. of Anchorage, Alaska, and Sobran Inc. of Dayton, Ohio, have won two defense contracts worth a total of up to $57.6 million to support maintenance at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast and most of the work will be done in Jacksonville.

Sobran won a contract worth up to $15.9 million to “provide production support services in support of the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast depot-level maintenance efforts. Services to be provided include operational management of warehouses, inventory and storage of aircraft parts, production of tool kits for maintenance, external support to the In-Service Repair Program, operation and management of mega centers, environmental support and equipment management functions, and transportation of materials and components.

Ninety-five percent of the work will be performed at NAS Jacksonville; 2 percent at the Marine Corps Air Station at Beaufort; 2 percent at NAS Norfolk; and 1 percent at NAS Oceana. It is also expected to be completed by September 2014.
